WWW Wednesday- Let’s Talk About our Reading Lives

It is Wednesday and that means WWW World of Words! It works really simple. I’m tagging back to Howling Libraries because I saw it in my email first, this morning.

What is WWW Wednesday? You just make a post and answer three simple questions :

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you plan on reading next?

As a spin, I would love if everyone responded below with what is happening in your reading lives!

What did you recently finish reading?

Five Star ARC Review: The Past and Other Things That Should Stay Buried by Shaun David Hutchinson

Four Star Review: Black Coats by Colleen Oakes – Published 2/12/2019

Four Star Review of Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto- Released 2/12/2019

Five Star Review: Someone Like Me by M.R. Carey

What are you currently reading?

Although I have about 100 pages left in Astrid Scholte’s debut novel Four Dead Queens, the review will be up today so my lips are sealed. This is really a title I just read but semantics…

The Everlasting Rose is Dhonielle Clayton’s highly anticipated sequel to⁷ The Belles and I cannot wait to dig in!!

There are a lot of highly anticipated books coming out (just see the first two books above)! I’m not usually a reader that, reads more than one at a time but with titles like these, what is a girl to do?? Tehlor Kay Mejia’s We Set the Dark on Fire has everyone salivating and for good reason!

What are you reading next?

Ok phew! I showed me mine!! Now you show me yours!!

    Just finished

JD Franx – The Fallen Sepulchre. third book in his series. it’s enjoyable, but nothing noteworthy. Interesting twist using multi/parallel dimensions to an otherwise typical fantasy trope. prophecy exists, person must fulfill it or doom the world.

    currently reading

Stephen King – The Stand. just started the audiobook yesterday. that’ll take awhile, hopefully long enough to bring me to the next topic.

    looking forward to

Mark Lawrence – Holy Sister. His Book of the Ancestor trilogy is probably my favorite right now. I might even put it over Joe Abercombie’s First Law trilogy, and that’s incredible. Mark creates compelling characters, engrossing stories and they’re never too long as to drag on. I’ve enjoyed all his major works (Broken Empire trilogy and the Red Queen’s War trilogy). he has some other sci-fi stuff coming out this year as well. should be a good time.

    1. Thank you for letting me glimpse in on what you are up to in your reading life. I would have never in a million years guessed that you had not read the stand. I will give you the same advice given to me when I started it. Pick your favorite musician and put them into it.

So by never too long to drag on where on the spectrum of my add and 20 pages to describe a tree are we talking?
